Residential Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

About the Role:
As Residential Manager, you will take on a key leadership role in establishing and guiding a new team committed to making a positive impact on young people’s lives. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing referrals from the Local Authority and ensuring that each young person receives personalized care tailored to their specific needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and manage a dedicated team to deliver outstanding care. Collaborate with senior management to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
2. Referral Management: Work closely with the Local Authority to assess and match young people with the care they need.
3. Transition Support: Ensure a smooth transition for young people moving into the home by developing and implementing individualized care plans.
4. Compliance & Audits: Oversee monthly audits and maintain detailed records to ensure the home meets all regulatory standards.
5. Effective Communication: Foster a culture of open communication within the team, holding regular meetings and providing ongoing support.
6. Staffing & Rotas: Manage the home’s rota system, ensuring consistent staffing and issuing schedules in advance.
7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate completion of all regulatory documentation.
8. Stakeholder Relations: Attend professional meetings and maintain effective communication with external partners.
9. Health & Safety: Ensure the home meets all health and safety standards, creating a safe and secure environment for both staff and residents.
10. Safeguarding: Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all young people and staff members.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
1. Essential: NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Residential Child Care (or equivalent).
2. Proven ability to lead a team independently while maintaining organization and focus.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
