What you will do:
* Conduct assessments to identify risks and needs in safeguarding cases.
* Develop and implement effective safeguarding plans, collaborating with families and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes.
* Provide direct support and tailor interventions for children, young people, and vulnerable adults at risk.
* Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, strategy meetings, and court proceedings as needed.
* Stay informed and compliant with statutory regulations, policies, and guidelines to uphold best practices.
* Engage with multi-disciplinary teams including health, education, police, and voluntary organisations.
* Maintain precise and comprehensive case records, ensuring all reports are created to a high standard.

Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker with a Degree or Master’s in Social Work and registered with Social Work England.
* Demonstrable experience in child protection, safeguarding, or adult safeguarding within a local authority or related organisation.
* Strong understanding of key legislation and statutory frameworks, including The Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and The Care Act 2014.
* Excellent assessment, communication, and risk management skills.
* Capacity to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient in multi-agency collaboration and experience in attending safeguarding meetings.
* A valid UK driving licence may be required for the role.
