IT Support Technician – Sheffield £26,000 - £29,000 + bonus and great benefits. My client is a well-established, multi-site organisation who require an experienced IT Support Technician to act as the first point of contact for all IT support issues. You will need to have experience supporting users in a virtualised environment as well as handling security queries. As an IT Technician, your role will be all-encompassing and include helpdesk management, first line support, and escalation and coordination. You will provide support for Microsoft 365, bespoke software products as well as resolving hardware issues. The organisation is consistently seeking to modernise their IT Infrastructure, so you will gain exposure to modern technologies. This role will require a minimum of 3 days per week in central Sheffield with hybrid working in place.

Experience:
1. Relevant IT education and certifications e.g. CompTIA A+
2. Previous experience of working in an IT support/service desk role
3. Microsoft 365
4. Active Directory, maintaining users and groups
5. Networks
6. Hardware support
7. A basic knowledge of cyber security principles
8. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Effectively, this role is responsible for working with the wider IT team to contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of IT Services for a business with several hundred employees.
