As a Children’s Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. You will work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support.
Our services will always be joined-up and you will develop robust partnerships with other teams and outside agencies; to include the police, health, schools and voluntary organisations.
About the service: The Children with Disabilities Service works with children and young people who have permanent disabilities that impact on their day to day life. We are a through service meaning we stay with the child throughout their journey with social care, completing their assessment and any further intervention if required by way of child in need, child protection or child in care processes. We are aspirational for our children and celebrate their successes. We are seeking a Social Worker for the team covering the East of the city. The team is based at the office at One Avenue Road in Aston. There is ample free parking on the car park at the rear of the office.
About You:
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals who are committed to making a difference. The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree in Social Work and youmust have completed your ASYE.
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
* Strong assessment and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
