Due to continued success and future business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join our team based at our East Midlands Head office in Nottingham. If yes then look no further, your next career could be with us As our Assistant Buyer, you will provide assistance to the Chief Buyer in the scheduling, purchasing and management of materials for our current developments. Key duties and requirements You will also be responsible for but not limited to; Providing support to the commercial function ensuring effective compliance and control in relation to the buying of materials and the hire of plant. Assisting in the management of supply chain partners. Ensuring that communication between all sites and suppliers is maintained to a high level. Raising orders. Ensuring that all material orders are scheduled, placed and delivered in a timely manner to enable and support the regional build programme. Assisting in the stock taking of materials. Assisting in the authorising and committing of expenditure. Assisting in the preparation of cost analysis reports across our developments. Who are we looking for? To be successful as our Assistant Buyer you will currently be working as a Junior or Assistant Buyer or Buyer for a housebuilder, main contractor, or builders' merchant. Experience of the COINS ERP system is highly desirable, yet not essential. To be considered for this role you must also possess; Knowledge of the procurement of materials A full UK driving licence Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Experience of COINS - highly desirable A good level of commercial awareness Ability to work under own initiative and manage time effectively Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements Good verbal and written communication skills What will you get in return?
