The successful Mechanical Design Engineer/ Mechanical Engineer/ Design Engineer will be responsible for developing innovative mechanical designs, contributing to the development of new products and improving existing designs. This is a hands-on role that involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical and manufacturing engineers, to ensure high-quality product development from concept through to production. Mechanical Design Engineer Package: £35,000-£55,000 DOE 24 Days Holiday Bank Holidays (increases with tenure) Private Healthcare (Family add-on option) Gym Membership Discounts Cycle-To-Work and Electronics Purchase Schemes Flexible 37.5 Hour Week with Early Finish Fridays Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical components and systems for new and existing products Create detailed CAD models and technical drawings Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver design solutions within project timelines Participate in design reviews, prototyping, and testing or product Ensure designs meet regulatory standards, customer requirements, and manufacturing processes Conduct stress analysis, material selection, and feasibility studies Support the development of documentation, including BOMs, assembly instructions, and technical specifications Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally within aerospace, automotive, or similar industries Living on the Isle of White or willing to relocate (relocation package provided) Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes Knowledge of FEA and design for manufacturability Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
