Adept Resourcing Group is proud to be retained by a leading manufacturing company operating within the aerospace, metals and Oil and Gas industries. Together, we are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join their expanding and dynamic Technical Department.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with a strong foundation in machine manufacturing and technical drawings to develop their career within a world-class organisation.
Role Overview:
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will work at the intersection of technical knowledge and customer relationships. You will support the sales team in delivering advanced manufacturing solutions to clients in the oil and gas sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your knowledge of machine manufacturing and technical drawings to real-world applications, working closely with senior engineers and clients to deliver tailored solutions.
Technical Sales Engineer Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the sales team in promoting and selling our products and solutions to customers in the oil and gas industry.
2. Assist in preparing technical proposals, quotes, and specifications based on client requirements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with technical drawings.
3. Use your knowledge of machine manufacturing and technical drawings to support the design and customisation of products for clients.
4. Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers, explaining complex concepts in a clear and accessible way.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, providing exceptional customer service and technical support.
6. Collaborate with engineering teams to solve complex technical problems and provide solutions that meet client specifications.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to effectively communicate product benefits.
8. Assist with sales forecasting, reporting, and market analysis to drive business growth.
Technical Sales Engineer Qualifications & Skills:
1. A recent graduate in Business, Engineering or related field.
2. Strong knowledge of machine manufacturing processes and experience interpreting and working with technical drawings.
3. A keen interest in sales and customer relationships within the manufacturing and oil & gas industries.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an accessible way.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
6. Self-motivated, goal-driven, and eager to develop a career in both engineering and sales.
7. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
8. Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is advantageous but not essential.
