Role Responsibilities
The caretaker will be responsible for:
1. Locking/unlocking the buildings and site, ensuring the site is accessible and safe on a daily basis,
2. Conducting regular safety checks and maintenance
3. General porterage duties
4. Supporting hydro pool maintenance
5. Coordinating with contractors and cleaners
6. Maintaining the school's physical environment
7. Undertaking basic maintenance
8. Controlling access and egress of school transport,
9. Supporting the Site Manager to ensure the site is functioning correctly.
The successful applicant will
1. Ideally have worked within a school environment previously or have a strong maintenance background.
2. Ideally have experience in a trade or worked in a role involving building maintenance
3. Be professional at all times, as well as friendly and enthusiastic.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
5. Professional and reliable approach to work
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
