The Acute medical unit is a busy modern unit with a professional and friendly team delivering high standards of care. We are currently looking for hard working and enthusiastic ward clerks to provide clerical support to the unit and achieve an effective and efficient service to our clients.
To join our forward thinking and constantly developing team you should be self-motivated and committed to delivering efficient clerical support to our busy unit. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to work effectively as part of the team dealing with complex and sensitive information in a professional manner.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a wide range of administrative and clerical duties to the ward/unit staff. They will be responsible for the safe keeping and availability of all clinical records relating to patients and the smooth running of the ward/department office. They will also provide general assistance to the ward/unit staff.
1. Provide general non-clinical advice, information and guidance of ancillary services directly to patients, clients, relatives and carers.

Qualifications
* RSA 2 typing/word processing or equivalent
Experience
* Previous office experience (minimum of 6 months)
* Previous hospital based experience
* Experience of record keeping for professional, risk and legal requirements
