We do a lot of surgery including laparoscopic, ideal for someone looking to get involved in these procedures and develop their surgical experience!
As the qualified nurse in clinic, this is a hands-on role, working closely with Gabi, our Branch Partner who has over 15 years of experience. You’ll be leading a team of three Patient Care Assistants, and we have a fantastic Client Care Assistant managing our front of house.
This role works to a 4-day week with 1:6 weekends.
We have everything we need to provide exceptional care including a spacious reception area and two large consult rooms, amazing prep area and theatre with surgical viewing window, in-house lab, x-ray and laparoscopy.
We’re a few minutes’ walk from Parsons Green Underground (District Line). As you walk out the station, you’re hit with a welcoming village feel and a sense of community.
You’ll find us opposite the award-winning Parsons Green (internationally recognised as a lovely and beautifully maintained park!). There is great coffee across the road from the clinic and plenty of places to eat and grab lunch.
We take pride in our collaborative approach and have created clinical communities where vets and nurses with a shared interest connect and collaborate on a regular basis.
To support you in your role, we also offer various nurse consult training and internal CPD including building your confidence, our Nutritional Ambassador Programme or developing your consulting skills.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:
* Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
* Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
* Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
* Deliver patient monitoring and care.
* Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
* Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
* Dispense and check medication.
* Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
* Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
* RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
* Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
* Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
* Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
* Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
