Manufacturing Engineer (Sheet Metal)

We are recruiting within our Manufacturing Engineering department a Manufacturing Engineer for sheet metal component production (Tooling). This role will support New Product Development teams on Tooling from a Design for Manufacture perspective and include programming CNC machinery and developing Tools, Jigs and fixtures to produce the quality products required.
Main tasks of the role are:
* Programming Laser, Punching and Forming CNC equipment for sheet metal to ensure we have the capability to produce high quality products created by our design and development teams.
* Involvement with the design project teams and advising on process and machine capability, leading up to component approvals.
* Working on machinery and equipment centred around Piercing, Forming and Welding (MIG/TIG/Spot).
* Working with internal and external toolmaking teams to develop the correct tools to support the design and production processes.
* Assessment and introduction of new CNC Equipment and Processes.
We are looking for:
* Previous manufacturing engineer experience with the CAD/CAM.
* Radan programming experience advantageous but not essential.
* A good and well-rounded knowledge of manufacturing processes and how those are designed.
* Familiarity with different CNC controlled machinery.
* Qualified to a minimum HNC level in an engineering discipline.
* Demonstrable experience of APQP, PFMEA and DfM.
