Job summary The post holder will work as a skilled practitioner under the supervision of the band 7 ANP, part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care to elective and emergency patients cared for in cardiology inpatient areas. The post holder will work across divisional and professional boundaries, encouraging inter-disciplinary working for the benefit of improved patient outcomes and efficient use of resources. Main duties of the job Demonstrate specialist knowledge of a wide range of cardiac interventions and specialist treatments in order to provide information to staff and patients, contributing to the informed consent process. Demonstrate specialist knowledge and skills relating to the impact of patient condition and co-morbidities in terms of outcomes and level of care required To liaise with appropriate departmental staff and discharge team to optimise smooth transition of cardiology patients from pre-screening or admission to discharge home. Maintain a clean, safe environment ensuring adherence to Trust standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control at all times.
