Wansdyke Schoo l, a vibrant non-denominational single form entry primary school, is looking for a confident and experienced Teacher to work in its dedicated Complex Needs Resource Base on a maternity cover contract, starting April 2025. Working Hours: Full-time. Required: April 2025. Educating children between the ages of 4 and 11, we are located in the market town of Devizes, Wiltshire. We have a supportive parent body and a 28 place Complex Needs Resource Base, which supports children with additional needs from across the county. As a Complex Needs Resource Base Teacher, you will teach both classes within our resource base, supporting the learning and development of children requiring SEND support and will make a real difference to their school lives. QTS status is essential for the role, as is experience in SEND. We are looking for someone who: Is committed to becoming a truly excellent teacher; Can teach a broad range of engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve student attainment; Can plan and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard that ensure real learning takes place and students make superior progress; Is able to raise attainment and challenge pupils to achieve their best; Has a commitment to extra-curricular activities; Has good knowledge and awareness of current initiatives in the Primary Curriculum; Has experience working with children/young people with SEND; Is an effective team member who can contribute positively to our Complex Needs Resource Base team and across the wider school community; Has a positive, cheerful outlook with a good sense of humour; Is able to forge good relationships with students and staff; Is able to work hard and remain calm under pressure; Has a desire to work within the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) structure.
