Due to an expansion in our service, we have an exciting opportunity to offer 2 Low Intensity Step 2 Lead posts. One post to be based at Redditch and Bromsgrove and one post to be based at Malvern, Evesham and Pershore.
We are looking for highly motivated and organised individuals who will lead the PWP workforce while still managing a small caseload.
The role is suitable for applicants who have obtained an appropriate adult qualification outlined by the BABCP and will also need to be registered with the BABCP.
We operate hybrid working to include remote/office-based hours, including face-to-face patient contact, as well as telephone and video conferencing. The contracted hours are 37.5 over 5 days.

Main duties of the job
The duties of the role include:
* Line managing the senior PWP and PWPs within your team
* Providing supervision and managing the supervision structure within your locality
* Liaising with training providers and being responsible for the PWP trainees' recruitment and development
* Responsibility for the development and training of all the team
* Being an active member of the leadership team
* Overseeing the delivery of the Step 2 interventions, ensuring timely access to assessment, treatment or onward referral, including face-to-face and remote working via telephone and digital platforms

Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in health and psychological therapies
* Appropriate adult qualification in low intensity psychological interventions recognised by the Talking Therapies training programme, accredited by the British Psychological Society Graduate or PG Cert. in Advanced Psychological Wellbeing
* Completed Talking Therapies supervisor course
Experience
* Significant experience working in Talking Therapies services with demonstrable understanding of the Talking Therapies agenda.
* Experience as a Senior PWP providing routine management and supervisory duties to Step 2 clinicians in a Talking Therapies service.
* Experience and understanding of routine data analysis in order to satisfy and exceed Service KPIs, e.g., using outcome measures for both clinical and audit purposes
* Employed in a Talking Therapies service as a Senior PWP involving support to Trainees in line with university requirements or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience.
* Experience of using clinical supervision and personal development positively and effectively
* Experience of delivering CPD to Step 2 clinicians
Knowledge
* Knowledge of the stepped care model of mental health provision across primary and secondary care
* Awareness of long-term physical health conditions and the application of CBT interventions to patients experiencing associated mental health difficulties
* Knowledge of wider contributory factors to maintaining good mental health, wellbeing and resilience, e.g., medication compliance, drug and/or alcohol use
* Understanding the role of governance in maintenance of safe and effective treatment interventions
Skills and abilities
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats
* Highly developed theory and practice of skills in the provision of Step 2 Low Intensity CBT based psychological interventions across the full range of anxiety and depressive disorders appropriate for primary care interventions
* Highly skilled in the assessment of a range of mental health problems and in the effective and safe management of risk; application of inclusion and exclusion criteria
* Adept at communicating effectively and respectfully, verbally and in writing, with clients, their families, carers and professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS, with ability to present to groups of service users and professionals alike
* Decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to implement change effectively; understanding quality improvement measures
