£140 to £240 per Day
Working Pattern: Full time (non-negotiable)

We are looking for empathetic and positive people to join the Starfyn Education Family in a long term, full time, SEN Teaching role!
Starfyn Education is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic SEND Class Teacher for one of our clients based in Croydon. The school supports students with complex and severe learning difficulties and physical disabilities. They focus on helping children and young adults reach their full potential through various methods such as supporting sensory development, verbal and non-verbal communication, and play therapy.

The Ideal Candidate will:
1. Have knowledge of assessment and teaching strategies appropriate for children with Special Educational Needs.
2. Understand the current legislative framework within which teachers operate, including the SEN Code of Practice, Curriculum 2000, and Literacy and Numeracy.
3. Be able to relate to and empathize with children who may have complex and severe learning difficulties.
4. Possess effective group management skills for children with moderate to severe autism and, in some classes, challenging behavior.
5. Be able to plan and teach to meet the individual needs of the children.
6. Provide a structure that facilitates emotional and social development.
To be successful in applying for this role, you must have a DFE recognized QTS or equivalent.
As an agency worker, you are only paid for the days you have worked. Therefore, you will not be paid during the school holidays.
