As a Claims Adjuster, you will play a critical role in the Energy Claims team by managing and resolving claims for our customers. You will work closely with your manager and fellow claims adjusters to bring claims to resolution. You will interact and collaborate with the practice leader, underwriting team, brokers, clients, and experts on assigned accounts, taking ownership of critical issues relating to claims management.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Managing a mixed portfolio of Energy claims (Upstream, Downstream, Liability) up to a pre-determined authority level. Pro-active engagement with all stakeholders to resolve claims promptly and fairly.
2. Strict adherence to the Global Claims Handling Practices.
3. Demonstrating AXA XL behaviours and values.
4. Ensuring all claims are reserved wherever possible, within the Reserving guidelines.
5. Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with Underwriters, Actuaries, and other departments as required.
6. Ensuring communications, new claims, and notifications are dealt with in a timely manner, identifying and reporting trends to relevant stakeholders.
7. Providing superior customer service to policyholders and brokers, maintaining and developing client relationships.
8. Instructing and managing surveyors, loss adjusters, lawyers, and experts in connection with day-to-day claims handling.
You will report to the Energy Claims Manager.
Required Skills and Abilities:
1. Preferably Energy or similar claims handling experience.
2. ECF experience is an advantage.
3. Extremely motivated and able to work as part of a team and individually in a fast-moving environment.
4. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to analyze claims data.
5. Excellent written, verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
6. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines.
7. Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the business area.
8. Demonstrates a passion for customer service, remaining calm under pressure.
9. A creative thinker who identifies development opportunities and is committed to continuous improvement.
10. Enthusiastic and adaptable to change and new challenges.
11. Trustworthy, accountable, and reliable.
