A talented Automation Solutions Delivery Lead is required by Major Recruitment to join their team in the North East.
This exciting opportunity involves managing the design, integration, testing, and commissioning of automation projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include interpreting client requirements, designing, engineering, integrating, testing, and delivering solutions in a professional and timely manner. This will involve interfacing with customers on all technical elements and schedules, as well as engaging with subcontractors and external suppliers for project delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
* Designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems in automation projects.
* Producing specifications/drawings and agreeing with customers.
* Integrating and configuring software, hardware, communications, and external devices.
* Driving projects to achieve an 'on-time' project delivery within budget.
* Project engineering, configuration, integration, and test.
* Assisting in the preparation and approvals of bills of materials and manufacturing drawings, and where necessary interfacing with suppliers.
* Preparing project documentation such as design specifications, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, and operation and maintenance manuals.
* Participating in project meetings and assisting in scheduling activities.
* Undertaking FAT, SAT, site installation, and commissioning activities when necessary.
The ideal candidate will have an ONC/HNC in Electrical/Electronic/Software Engineering or a related subject, along with a proven track record of delivering projects preferably within the SCADA and Automation sectors.
Requirements:
* ONC/HNC in Electrical/Electronic/Software Engineering or related subject.
* Proven track record of delivering projects, preferably within SCADA and Automation sectors.
* Knowledge of communications systems and SCADA protocols such as Modbus, DNP, and IEC 61850.
* Experience of implementing using PLC logic.
* Experience of configuring HMI software.
* Ability to work independently and within a small team environment.
* Excellent internal and external communication skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Willingness to travel for site testing and commissioning work when required.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
