Control Systems Engineers
£40,000 - £48,000 + Paid Overtime, Flexi-time, Pension, Early Friday finish
Mainly office based with very infrequent travel for commissioning.

Control Systems Engineer – The Role:
1. Software design & development for control systems including PLC, HMI & Drives.
2. Assisting with on-site customer demonstrations and trials.
3. Involvement in control design meetings with customers and/or internal departments.
4. Project pre-order research and estimating by organising/attending meetings with customers and internal departments.
5. Writing of control specification documents, such as testing schedules and operator manuals.
6. Reading and understanding of electrical schematics and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
7. Hardware integration – building & testing above hardware and inter-device/HMI communications.
8. Optimisation of existing software and HMI design through the correct channels and processes.
9. Modification of existing systems on previous projects.
10. Full electrical commissioning of all developed systems on premises and on site.
11. Rectification of electrical problems and modifying panels to meet changes in requirement.
12. Training of the customer on the correct operation of installed systems.
13. Dealing with customer queries during and after project warranty periods.
14. Assisting on other engineer’s projects or assisting on customer breakdowns.
Control Systems Engineer – The Person:
1. HND/C or higher degree in a relevant Electrical Engineering field.
2. Experience with PLC & HMI programming using Siemens, Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi.
3. Experience as an automation systems engineer or similar.
4. Exposure to Beijer, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen Bradley and Omron PLCs/HMIs and drives.
5. Flexibility to travel as and when required to support commissioning – although travel is infrequent.
This role is based in the North West and commutable from Manchester, Oldham, Blackburn, Burnley and all surrounding areas.
