About the Role
To support in this exciting journey, we are now seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as Head of Enterprise Architecture and Technical Infrastructure.
In this influential and impactful role, you will:
1. Lead the design, implementation, and management of our enterprise technical infrastructure, including the Data Platform, ensuring it supports the Council's drive for efficient, effective services and aligns with its strategic goals.
2. Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to anticipate future technical needs and ensure our infrastructure supports the Council's long-term vision.
3. Act as a key sponsor of major Enterprise Architecture and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
4. Shape the Council's technology and data strategies, contributing to broader organisational goals while representing the ICT and Digital Service at governance boards.
5. Have strategic influence over the development of digital roadmaps and technical governance, ensuring we remain ahead of emerging challenges.
6. Deputise for the Director of ICT and Digital Innovation, helping to steer the organisation's future direction.
This role would suit a forward-thinking leader with a passion for strategic digital transformation and enterprise architecture.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Proven experience leading and managing ICT programs, delivering on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
2. Expertise in industry best practices, with a deep understanding of local and national developments impacting service delivery.
3. Strong background in delivering Enterprise Architecture and technical infrastructure projects.
4. Skilled in engaging stakeholders to address complex business challenges and objectives.
5. Experience developing policies and strategies in evolving technology areas.
6. Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for senior stakeholders.
7. Able to foster productive relationships with Trade Unions.
8. Track record of presenting compelling cases for change to officer boards and committees.
