About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and challenging Sociology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, following relevant examination specifications.
* Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
* Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including case studies, sociological theories, and current events, to bring sociology to life.
* Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys.
* Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Sociology examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
* Contribute to the development of the Sociology curriculum and resources.
* Foster a love of sociology in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical and research skills.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
* Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to sociology and social justice.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Strong subject knowledge in Sociology.
* Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5.
* Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Sociology examinations.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and research skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of all backgrounds.
* A passion for sociology and a commitment to fostering social awareness.
