EXPERIENCED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER WITH A MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL BIAS REQUIRED TO WORK ON LARGE PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT
TITLE: Plant Technician - Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
LOCATION: East Greater London
SALARY: £40-50,000 (M-F Days with callout)
YOUR PREVIOUS BACKGROUNDS (not exhaustive): furnace, smelting, power station, energy, heavy industry, waste management, quarry, steel, aggregates, mining, recycling, plant hire, manufacturing, processing, steam raising, production, heavy capital plant machinery.
Previous roles may have been: Maintenance Technician, Electrical Technician, Plant Fitter, Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Plant Engineer, Electrical Engineer.
ROLE: As a Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Technician you will undertake reactive and preventative maintenance to a range of heavy static plant machinery and conveyor systems.
You will communicate with the maintenance manager, your team, and the operational staff.
You will log your work and work within site safety procedures and company policies.
EXPERIENCE: You will have worked in a heavy process manufacturing environment with large static plant production equipment; this position is not suitable for those with experience only in buildings or facilities maintenance.
You will have undertaken a time-served electrical, mechanical, or marine engineering apprenticeship and be qualified with a C & G or NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, or degree.
Knowledge of PC-based engineering PPM systems is useful.
Health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are a bonus.
