Project Manager – Environment Scotland East of Scotland An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the team at Galliford Try to manage projects to £250K in value which tend to be short term projects throughout the East of Scotland from Fife to Aberdeen. Galliford Try are delivering one of Scotland’s biggest capital investment infrastructure programmes to enhance water and wastewater services. Scottish Water forecasts to spend £1 billion a year on thousands of miles of water pipes, sewer networks, treatment works and other assets to ensure they continue to play a vital role in the daily lives of five million people. The programme of work will help to deliver net zero emissions water and wastewater services by 2040 and build capacity in the network to cope with changing weather patterns, deliver excellent quality water, protect the environment and support service excellence for our customers. What you will be doing: Assuming responsibility for the management of project delivery outputs including programme, financial position, health safety, quality, environmental performance, and progress for all allocated schemes. The ability to manage staff at varying levels, providing leadership, staff development and retention of key personnel. Ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations. Review/assessment of in-house/subcontractor RAMS, Process Impact Assessments and Environmental legislation. To ensure compliance with all company safety, environmental and quality systems. Liaise with client’s staff to ensure KPI’s are met or exceeded within budget constraints To manage the project team ensuring that each member has a clear set of objectives. To develop and motivate all team members. To assist the Senior Leadership Team with the development of the direct labour resources.
