Are you interested in working with a forward-thinking and growing student wellbeing team? If so, we are offering a great opportunity within our multi-disciplinary service, based in our modern wellbeing hub.
We are committed to providing outstanding support for our students to help them overcome the challenges of modern life that prevent them from engaging fully with their learning. From providing mindfulness activities and specialist support groups to bespoke support delivered 1:1, the wellbeing team tailors its responses to the ever-changing demands of our student community.
Under the direction of the Head of Wellbeing and working with wider colleagues from faculty and learning support services, you will provide a point of contact for staff and students alike for safeguarding and wellbeing matters. You will deliver support and information to students who are struggling in order to remove barriers that are preventing them from getting the most out of their learning. Wellbeing practitioners deliver brief solution-focused interventions to students who present in crisis. In addition, they deliver 1:1 sessions, small group workshops, and bespoke support to students.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are student-centric and have a positive and “can-do” attitude towards teenagers and mature students alike. Are you able to react with compassion and empathy in a fast-paced environment, whilst faced with a wide range of complex student needs? If so, this may be the team for you. Full training will be given on the job and through external providers. Please see the Job Description for further details about the role.
The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners and expects all staff to share this commitment. All successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check and to provide proof of their eligibility to work in the UK.
