Section Foreman – Infrastructure
Location - Banwell
Purpose of the Role:
As Section Foreman you will ensure works are executed safely, within programme and to the highest quality standards.
Key Accountabilities:
You will:
1. Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
2. Day to day management of site-based construction works.
3. Responsible for effective coordination of resources working on the project.
4. Ensure temporary and permanent works are delivered in accordance with the design.
5. Careful material and plant management to meet programme and financial targets.
6. Assist in planning and programming with site engineering teams.
7. Participate in site discipline meetings to aid effective coordination and delivery of the works.
8. Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Permit to Work systems are in place before work commences.
9. Assist in the preparation of RAMS, COSHH assessments and safety plans as required.
10. Effective liaison and communication with site teams and subcontractors.
11. Undertake site inductions with all subcontractors.
12. Deliver toolbox talks and -minute briefings.
13. Ensure subcontractors deliver work to meet safety, quality and programme requirements.
14. Supervise subcontractors to ensure quality and “right first-time approach”.
15. Ensure subcontractors are conforming to their own check sheets.
16. Record and update site diaries.

17. Ability to work safely.
18. Able to communicate effectively with site team and subcontractors.
19. Execution of construction work in line with ITP’s, quality standards and safety documentation.
20. Confident in delivering safety briefings and toolbox talks.
21. Able to read and interpret design drawings.
22. Proven leadership capability.
23. Calm, level-headed approach with strong communication able to get the most of the team and subcontractors.
24. Good customer liaison skills.
Technical / Professional Qualifications Required
25. Relevant experience (Highways, Rail, Water or Aviation).
26. Discipline Experience (Earthworks, structures, Drainage etc).
27. SMSTS.
28. Relevant CSCS card
29. Office expertise.
30. TWS.
31. st Aid (Preferred).
