What will you be doing?
We rely on our Senior Social Workers to provide crucial leadership in our most challenging cases, setting clear examples for less experienced team members. You’ll exemplify the high standards we expect in every case, ensuring that every service user’s needs are met with proactive and personalized care.
Effective assessment and support planning in complex cases are crucial, and you will take the lead in these situations. You will liaise with colleagues and third parties to ensure appropriate and effective action. You will monitor and evaluate the support provided to service users, continually looking for ways to innovate in care delivery where it benefits the service user.
Your leadership role will also include supervising the practice and performance of social workers and adult support coordinators in the team. Using your experience, you will be a creative coach in supervision, enable practice improvements, and provide valuable feedback through staff appraisals.
As you work with adults in need of care and support services, along with their informal carers, it will be crucial to work in partnership with them to establish needs and ensure they are met.
This role isn’t just about delivering care; it’s about providing service users with choice and control over their lives and empowering independence.
