As a result of our client expansion plans and continued ongoing success, we are seeking a dynamic Credit Control Manager to be based at a Head Office in Plymouth.
Reporting to the Management Accountants, this role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our credit control function, maximising potential revenue whilst working on various projects around process improvements, efficiencies, and cost-saving exercises.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the full credit control process from start to finish.
2. Take charge of recovering outstanding payments.
3. Assist with the month-end billing procedures.
4. Perform reconciliations for debtor control accounts and intercompany balances.
5. Manage provisions for bad debts.
6. Maximising supplier turnover rebates.
7. Analyze revenue from Kitchen and Café operations.
8. Support and challenge credit card chargebacks.
9. Oversee purchase ledger payments, terms & supplier discounts.
10. Continuously improve processes for efficiency and cost savings.
11. Provide monthly debtor analysis to senior management.
12. Support the preparation of month-end processes and assist with the year-end audit.
13. Other tasks as required.
Person Specification:
This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:
1. Previous credit control experience, ideally in a commercial setting.
2. Strong Excel skills.
3. Excellent organisational skills.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Must be able to meet deadlines with accuracy.
6. Ability to challenge existing processes and improve them.
