Job Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Medicine team at South Warwickshire University NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to manage a demanding caseload, ensuring timely discharges and providing high-quality therapy interventions. This role also includes leadership responsibilities, such as supervising and appraising junior Occupational Therapy staff. You will contribute to developing the service through clinical audits, in line with Care Quality Standards and the COT professional standards. Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of patients in Acute Medicine, providing assessments and treatment interventions. Prioritize and manage a demanding caseload independently to facilitate timely and effective patient discharges. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of care. Assist in the leadership, supervision, and development of junior Occupational Therapy staff. Participate in clinical audits and contribute to service development in line with trust and professional standards. Engage in personal development and continue professional training through structured supervision and in-service training. Key Requirements: HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist. Experience working within Acute Medicine or a similar fast-paced environment. Strong communication and team-working skills. Ability to manage and prioritize a complex caseload independently.
