Job Summary
We are seeking a software developer with hands on experience in React JS / Node JS.
In this role, you will:
* Working with your team mates to agreed timescales and standards; working closely with Business Analysts, Scrum Masters and UX design
* Developing new end-to-end dashboard features using Node.js and React.js
* Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
* Being part of a multi-disciplinary, agile product team designing and building dashboards using modern technology stack with the ability to quickly pick up new technologies/paradigms and to implement solutions across the full stack
* Challenging code, design, implementation to ensure they are of highest quality, in line with HSBC and industry standards
* Maintaining and developing good, clear communications and relationships as appropriate with development team members and stakeholders
* Active collaboration with product owner and senior stakeholder.
* Engage the key stakeholders to promote positive behavior and actively manage risk.
Essential Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
* Strong experience in the software industry with a focus on Node JS, React JS and Automation
* In depth knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, utilities, and other technologies used by the team (React & Node JS)
* Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
* Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
* Client-side and server-side JavaScript development experience
* Familiarity working with RESTful APIs
* Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
* Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
* Experience of working in Git and continuous integration/ deployment environments
* Effectively communicate with senior stakeholder, providing regular updates on product roadmap status and addressing concerns proactively.
* Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to guarantee the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance overall product efficiency
