This role is ideal for individuals who have experience as support workers or youth workers, as these skills are highly transferable to the educational environment. Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience of students. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons. Supporting students with their academic work and personal development. Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance. Helping to create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters positive learning experiences for all students. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers. Assisting with administrative tasks related to lesson preparation and classroom management. Key Responsibilities: Student Support: Work closely with students to provide tailored support that meets their individual needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN). Collaboration: Collaborate with teaching staff to develop effective lesson plans and resources that engage students. Behaviour Management: Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour in the classroom, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment. Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and well-being. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities provided by Teaching Personnel to enhance your skills and knowledge. Qualifications & Skills: Previous experience as a support worker or youth worker is highly beneficial. A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their educational journey. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
