Welsh-Medium Primary Teacher Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for Welsh-speaking primary schools in the Ammanford area. We are seeking a fluent Welsh teacher who can work across both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2). This position is set to begin in January 2025, after the Christmas break. What We Are Looking For: Fluent Welsh speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Welsh and English. A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children. Effective classroom management skills. Excellent communication and listening skills. Positive attitude with a strong work ethic. Ability to work efficiently as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Safeguard the well-being of children. Have a strong understanding of the primary school curriculum and the ability to deliver engaging lessons and activities. Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. Assess and track pupils' development and progress. Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and parents. Continuously develop your teaching skills and adapt strategies as necessary. Promote and support the use of Welsh throughout the school day. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ESSENTIAL. Strong knowledge and understanding of the primary school curriculum, with the ability to plan effectively. Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to pass enhanced DBS checks. Driving license (preferred but not essential). Fluent or first-language Welsh speaker.
