I'm currently representing a highly respected, engineering-led power services company that’s expanding its team! They're looking for an experienced Diesel Engine Field Service Engineer to support their local operations, focusing on service, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators up to 2MVA. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in diesel power systems and a strong track record with diesel engines and control systems. Marine and Industrial Electricians with transferable skills are welcome to apply. This is a locally focused role with minimal long-distance travel, ensuring a balanced lifestyle and more time at home.
The Candidate:
5+ years’ experience with diesel engines, power, and control systems
Great customer service skills; confident managing client relationships
Proactive and organized with strong time-management skills
Full UK Driving Licence
The Role:
Minimal long-distance travel
Service, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators up to 2MVA
Fault finding, upgrades, and installation work for standby generators
Support with system improvements, including controller retrofits and remote monitoring setups
Participate in a manageable call-out rota and receive strong support from a technically proficient team
