Finance Manager - Energy (West)
Salary – £52,867 - £62,196 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
Location – Home Based (Midlands / North West of England)
As a Finance Manager - Energy (West) at FCC Environment, you will support the management of the Dudley, Gloucester and Lostock EfW plants by providing accurate and reliable information for business decision making to ensure that the Group’s financial objectives and targets are achieved.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities
Dudley EfW
- Manage, control and co-ordinate all activities in the finance arena including contractual aspects, commercial support as required and financial reporting.
- Monthly reporting of the O&M Profit and Loss / Cash Flow / Balance Sheet with analysis.
- Management of cashflow with timely raising of defined invoices and collection of these invoices.
- Co-ordinate the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts in accordance with the corporate model and timescales.
- Ensure the integrity of all relevant financial systems and procedures.
- Advise and assist the management team in their understanding and interpretation of the monthly financial results.
- Provide information to support the completion of the statutory accounts and assist with questions from internal / external auditors.
Gloucester EfW
- Manage, control and co-ordinate all activities in the finance arena including contractual aspects, commercial support as required and financial reporting.
- Monthly reporting of the O&M and SPV Profit and Loss / Cash Flow / Balance Sheet with analysis.
- Management of cashflow with timely raising of defined invoices and collection of these invoices.
- Co-ordinate the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts in accordance with the corporate model and timescales.
- Ensure the integrity of all relevant financial systems and procedures.
- Advise and assist the management team in their understanding and interpretation of the monthly financial results.
- Produce accurate information for the monthly report pack to the SPV Board.
- Produce the monthly Payment Mechanisms.
- Produce the bank model twice a year.
- Ensure compliance with the Commons Terms Agreement and act as the main point of contact with the Facility Agent and other stakeholders.
- Produce financial / performance reports as requested by the client (GCC) and act as the main point of contact with the client.
- Management of debt (principal / interest) and swaps requirements.
- Provide information to support the completion of the statutory accounts and assist with questions from internal / external auditors.
Lostock EfW
- Provide the same duties as the Gloucester EfW once the plant enters the Mobilisation period.
Other EfWs
- Liase with other team members to understand the process for the monthly reporting of the O&M and SPV Profit and Loss / Cash Flow / Balance Sheet for each plant.
Other
- To assist in the financial aspects of any future EfW developments with a view to growing the division.
- Managing finance staff based at site as growth dictates.
