The YHARC is an NIHR Funded programme designed to support applied health and care research that responds to, and meets, the needs of local populations and local health and care systems. There are 15 ARCs across the country, fostering collaboration between NHS, social care, third sector and industry organisations, and leading universities. Their collective aim is to transform services, improve peoples' health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities. Reflecting different regional priorities, different ARCs have different themes of research. The YHARC has four core themes: Early Life and Prevention Older people with Frailty Mental and Physical Multimorbidity Urgent and Emergency Care This new 12-month role will be central to the timely delivery and success of the Implementation Science programme. This is a 'cross-cutting' theme, and as such, you will have the opportunity to support and collaborate on projects with the core themes as well as the other cross-cutting theme, Health Economics, Evaluation and Equality. Main duties of the job You will work closely with senior team members to contribute to the delivery of the implementation science programme. This will include: Establishing a robust project management framework to ensure timely delivery and success for all parts of the research programme and providing regular reports to the theme leads. Providing leadership and line management to the Implementation Research Fellow. Responsibility for study design, recruitment, data collection and analysis. Promoting the theme and our finding through dissemination activities, such as writing blogs and publications (as the lead or a co-author), to optimise the impact of our work in the region. Obtaining necessary ethical and governance approvals at project outset. Engaging with patients, the public and healthcare staff to ensure our research meets their needs. Support and training will be provided at all stages from across the ARC and Improvement Academy to help you to master the art of our implementation science research techniques. There will also be the opportunity to work with Implementation and Improvement Practitioners to develop practical experience and the possibility to be involved in grant applications.
