Job Description
The candidate will be educated and have achieved a minimum Nat 5 in English, Maths and other science/technical subjects. The candidate must meet the minimum entry requirements for access to a Modern Apprenticeship, Construction and the Built Environment .
The postholder must carry out a course of study which will involve workplace guided learning and some self-study.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Midlothian to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
Valid Drivers Licence desirable.
The development plan will be course related, relative to Fife College.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.
Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £24,908.64 per annum.
Responsibilities
Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard. This requires completion of a disclosure check for all employees who can access official information. The fee for this PSN Disclosure check will be met by you.
