About us
In 2022, the Emergency Duty Service underwent a huge restructuring and went from being generic to 3 specialised teams, with the Children’s and Adult’s Services continuing to be closely aligned under one Service Manager. The teams operate outside of office hours, supporting children in need and vulnerable adults, at times of crisis. We are currently looking for someone to join the team to provide business support to both teams. As our Business Support Officer, you will be full time, working 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday.
About the post
The postholder will be an integral part of the Service, working under the instruction and guidance of the Team Managers and the Service Manager.
The postholder is the main contact for the Service during office hours and will undertakes a range of essential administrative support functions to ensure the smooth and effective running of the Service.
Duties will include working with a range of business processes and systems; ensuring that vacant shifts and sickness are covered on duty rotas; supporting staff and managers with meetings; communicating with internal and external ‘customers’, resolving queries where appropriate to do so; maintaining and developing information systems; managing financial processes on behalf of the team; and support general office maintenance.
A full and tailored induction will be provided.
About you
The post holder must be able to work independently and within a team, and have a high standard of analytical, assessment, organisational and communication skills.
You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, be able to prioritise work to meet deadlines, be resilient and have the ability to work independently.
You will be a strong key team player, with a flexible attitude and commitment to the service.
