An experienced Business Administrator is being sought to join and complement my client's current Peterborough team. The team is growing in response to an expanding and demanding client base, and this is an excellent opportunity to join this friendly, vibrant, and dynamic team.
The successful candidate will become part of the Administration Team, which provides a wide range of support to fee earners and clients. This is a varied role that will include customer service and general administration in the office.
The firm advises businesses ranging from large corporations to small family companies. In addition to commercial companies in service and manufacturing industries, we also deal with professional partnerships, financial services, entrepreneurs, and charities. The diverse client base and the breadth of services they offer means the successful candidate will gain a broad experience across a range of business sectors alongside an in-depth insight as to how business operates.
THE INDIVIDUAL

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Administration Team is at the centre of the firm, providing general administration to all departments including audit and accounts, business support services, tax, payroll, marketing, and company secretarial.
SUPPORTING CHARGEABLE STAFF
1. Carry out administration for the firm on behalf of chargeable staff.
2. Ensure service standards are met.
ADMINISTRATION
1. Onboarding new clients.
2. Send correspondence to clients via the secure portal system.
3. Scan and bind accounts.
4. Retrieve data from the database according to the schedule and as required.
5. Generate reports from the practice management system.
6. Scan and save client information and documents to the document management system and update the database.
7. Arrange accommodation and travel for chargeable staff.
8. Prepare client fees.
9. Arrange facilities repairs.
10. Answer the telephone within three rings.
11. Meet and greet clients and suppliers to the office.
12. Be up-to-date with the firm's policies and procedures and comply with them at all times.
13. Complete timesheets accurately on a daily basis.
14. Take on any other duties appropriate as and when required.
15. Be aware of the firm's risk management and practice assurance procedures and ensure compliance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. At least five GCSEs grade 4-9 with a grade 6 or above (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths.
2. Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
3. A business administration qualification is desirable but not essential.
4. At least two years' experience in an administration role.
5. Ability to deliver accurate work to deadlines and under pressure with good time management skills.
6. Demonstrate a commitment to delivering a first-class service to clients and the ability to work as part of a team.
7. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbally.
8. Good time management skills including prioritising.
9. Adaptable and flexible in attitude.
10. You must be able to live and work in the UK.
SALARY / BENEFITS

2. Salary of £23,000 to £26,000 depending upon experience. Salary is reviewed annually.
