Are you a skilled Mechanical Project Manager looking for a new opportunity?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our client's business, the UK's leading provider of Fire Protection Systems. Due to planned growth, we are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to join the business in a permanent, full-time position. The position is assumed Remote/home working with office/site visits as and when required.
We are looking for an individual who can work with us on project values between £1k-£500k and who can deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing the full process from pre-construction, installation, snagging, and post-delivery service.
2. Manage the daily operations of the installations of sprinkler systems.
3. Ensure all installation projects are carried out on time and completed to British Standards.
4. Lead, manage and support teams of installation engineers and relevant technicians.
5. Oversee the projects thoroughly, keeping tight communication between the installation teams, customers and trades.
6. Travel to various locations to ensure full management of various projects.
7. Ensuring Health & Safety files are up to date.
8. Procurement of materials and services.
9. Complete and update cost control sheets on project and be responsible for profitability of projects.
10. Prepare project programme/planning bar charts for design, procurement and installation.
11. Liaising with clients, insurers and consultants.
12. Maintaining contract file and following QA procedures as laid down in Contract Practice Guide.
13. Participate in the training of CAD Trainees and Designers.
14. Supervision of site installation staff.
15. Prepare Operating & Maintenance Manuals of systems installed.
16. Manage the staff with your team to achieve efficient use of resources.
17. Carry out appraisals with staff within your team and liaise with management to determine their training needs and provide guidance and 'on the job' training experience for them.
18. Achieve and where possible improve the profitability of contracts and meet the annual turnover/profit targets set for the team.
19. Develop client relationships and provide the best customer service you can to endeavour to achieve a long-term relationship to the mutual benefit of client and Argus.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
1. Must be proficient in Mechanical Project Management.
2. An understanding of AutoCAD and Revit Design Software.
3. SMSTS is an ideal qualification to have; however, the firm is willing to pay for candidates to undertake this course.
4. Good verbal and written English communication skills.
5. 3D AutoCAD/REVIT Experience.
6. FIRAS competency exams for FHC Basic, Intermediate and Testing Commissioning.
7. Mechanical engineering qualification.

1. Flexible working hours Monday to Friday 7.00-18.00 (based on 40 hours per week).
