Your responsibilities
As a member of the UK HR Team based either in Ratcliffe-on-Soar or Birmingham Business Park, you will assist with daily activities, while providing support to the UK HR team and other Uniper colleagues. This role will leverage the practical business skills you’ve acquired during your studies.
Post-employment, you will undergo a comprehensive onboarding process and be introduced to your new colleagues to integrate seamlessly into the team.
Your initial tasks will involve collaborating with all UK HR teams on-site to gain insights into the operations of an international energy generation and trading company. You will familiarise yourself with various business processes and become an integral part of the team.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
* Contribute to HR projects & initiatives to gain a broader understanding of strategic HR management.
* Develop practical HR skills through hands-on experience in core HR functions such as Recruitment, L&D, Reward, Employee Relations, HR Operations.
* Understanding HR policies & procedures and how they are applied to real-world scenarios.
* Developing effective communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective HR management.
* Supporting the development of HR Management Information (MI) systems, improving document management, and team infrastructure.
* Conducting process mapping and implementing process improvements to streamline our operations.
* Championing the use of MS CoPilot and supporting the upskilling of the UK HR team in its use.
* Offering broad support for team communications, meetings, and event organisation

We're looking for someone who can bring a flexible, enthusiastic approach, with plenty of self-motivation and lots of ambition. There will be a lot for you to do but you’ll have a dedicated team of experts around you, people who'll be happy to share their knowledge and experience with you.
A University Student will be:
* Enthusiastic, passionate and inquisitive with the dedication to achieve a future career within HR.
* Possessing or working towards a relevant degree level qualification in Business Management, HR or Psychology.
* You will be results oriented to deliver the right thing, on time, with quality and accuracy.
* A willingness to take on new and varied tasks.
* Able to prioritise and organise own workload.
* Must understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
* Keen to develop your communicating, coaching and influencing at all levels.
* Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt quickly to a constantly changing environment.
* Confident in using Microsoft packages with good analytical and commercial skills.
* Experience of working with AI (MS CoPilot) desirable but not essential.
The duration of the placement will be 48 Weeks, and we are flexible on the start date for the right candidate.
