MDE is recruiting for a critical hire for a major renewable organisation here in the UK! This role will drive transformational change and operational excellence and is based within the business transformation unit.
This role is all about improving productivity and efficiency across the business. The ideal candidate will likely have a consultancy background and understand the architecture of modern business operations, pulling on automations and AI and making data-driven decisions. This role is far beyond your classic quality and risk management position. With the organisation nearing a headcount of 700, this role is not without its challenges. You will need to bring the gravitas to be instrumental in behavioral change and be a cheerleader of innovations.

Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a comprehensive programme to monitor and improve compliance and performance, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
* Create and utilise effective visual reporting tools to ensure clear tracking of performance metrics and prompt action on any deviations.
* Establish and maintain a streamlined, ISO 9001-compliant quality management system to enhance and standardise business processes.
* Lead the design and implementation of efficient operational processes and business structures to optimise delivery.
* Promote a learning-focused culture by identifying root causes of issues, addressing them, and applying lessons learned from both internal and external experiences.
* Oversee the risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate key risks across the organisation.
Requirements
* Proven experience in designing and implementing management systems that drive organisational improvement and secure team buy-in.
* Strong understanding of business operations, with the ability to connect and engage the right stakeholders to take necessary actions.
* Confidence in presenting findings and solutions to stakeholders, even when discussing difficult topics, and securing their commitment to act.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, drive cultural and behavioural changes, and address performance gaps effectively.
* Strong leadership style that fosters trust and accountability while empowering teams to deliver results.
* A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience gained in a professional environment.
* Preferred: Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001) and/or training in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
