Job Description
We're seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's dynamic team based near Keele!
You will be a key player for an in-house product development team, making this an excellent opportunity for a graduate proficient in SolidWorks and knowledgeable in AutoCAD LT, with a demonstrable flair for mechanical product design. With a solid understanding of engineering principles, the successful candidate will undertake product design from conception through to prototyping and manufacture.

What You Will Be Doing
1. Generate part and assembly models in SolidWorks.
2. Produce parts lists/bills of materials and prepare new product O&M manuals.
3. Assist with the procurement of materials, ensuring competitive pricing.
4. Participate in the prototyping and testing of products.
5. Build rapport with suppliers and liaise with customers, area sales managers, and the management team.
6. Ensure all products are designed in compliance with mandatory requirements.
7. Contribute to improving company procedures.
8. Observe and maintain the company's Health and Safety Policy.
9. Undertake any other duties that may be required from time to time.
Hours
Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (flexible)
Pay
£23,600 - £28,750 per annum (depending on experience)
Skills/Experience Required
1. An understanding of engineering principles is essential.
2. Must be computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook etc).
3. Must have a valid UK driving licence.
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
5. Graduate degree in Mechanical design is preferred.
6. At least 12 months experience is preferred.
7. Proficiency on SolidWorks and AutoCAD is essential.
8. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
9. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
10. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work.
