This Project Manager will report to the Lead Project Manager and will work within the UKPN Services directorate based in our Gatwick airport office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £76,229.00 and a bonus of 3%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote

Job Purpose
You will project manage several UKPN Services asset renewals projects (NAMP) and fee earning projects at Gatwick Airport but may be asked to work in other locations, to ensure successful pre and post contract management of all projects to exceed the customer expectations. To complete project management through full life cycle of the project from initial enquiry through to post investment appraisal following the UK Power Networks Services governance and control process.
Principal Accountabilities
10. To identify client project requirements and exceed in client delivery expectations in verification and validation of requirements.
11. You will manage projects throughout their lifecycle from Enquiry, through Quotation and on to completion in line with project processes.
12. Liaison with all disciplines within the UKPN Services Gatwick team to provide a consistent and appropriate strategy to exceed client expectation.
13. Manage the financial control of projects, ensuring the delivery of planned Gross Margins.
14. You will ensure design and construction compliance with CDM.
15. Produce quotations in line with client & UKPN Services governance procedure.
16. Contract management in line with NEC 3.
17. Project programme management.
18. Manage workload. Take full responsibility and ownership of the success of projects.
19. Understand the HV and LV networks would be advantageous; a can do and customer friendly attitude is most important.
20. Presentations to external customers and UK Power Networks senior management will require you to display confidence and dedication.
21. You will produce and manage ITT together with procurement activities.
Qualifications
22. An HNC in Electrical Engineering (or similar) is the preferred requirement. However, applications from candidates with a lesser qualification and a track record in either project management or distribution networks (design or construction) would be welcomed.
23. An understanding and use of Microsoft Office packages Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and SAP.
24. Experience of the Project Governance and Control process and a commercial awareness would be advantageous. Experience of Primavera planning package would be preferable.
