Location: Office based - Stoke on Trent (2/3 days per week average) with national coverage and travel.
Remuneration: £70,000 - £80,000 depending on experience + incentives

E.H Hassell and sons is a premium supplier of specialist machinery who excel in providing sales, service, hire and parts of high quality material handlers, recycling and scrap metal processing equipment to the quarrying, scrap, waste and recycling sectors. Our key client products include brand names such as; Terex, Ecotek, Sennebogen, Guidetti, Bateman, Bronneberg and CMB.
Based in Stoke on Trent and part of the Hassell Engineering company, we employ circa 45 employees company wide, with circa 12 within the material handling and recycling equipment sales, service, parts & hire side of the business.
Opportunity Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity to support the MD of a family-run, friendly and successful business. The role will be responsible for leading, managing and shaping their existing sales and service departments for their Material handling and recycling equipment operations.
This is a key role within the business, accountable for supporting the MD on creating the sales strategy and growth pipeline for both new and existing customers. The role involves:
1. Creating a performance culture and leading teams to deliver against targets and KPIs.
2. Driving sales and revenue growth.
3. Coaching and developing the sales and service teams.
4. Ensuring efficient end-to-end customer experiences.
5. Collaborating across both Sales and Service functions.
6. Reviewing and resetting existing processes and procedures.

Key Qualifications:
1. Demonstrable experience of driving sales growth and revenue in the Material handling and recycling equipment sector.
2. Comfortable in a player/manager role, effectively managing day-to-day elements of the sales and service teams.
3. Strong people management skills to navigate difficult conversations and ensure teams deliver against targets.
4. Ability to diplomatically challenge the status quo and win hearts and minds from both a company leadership and directly managed team perspective.
