About the role
This role is internally known as Partnering MI Analyst.
Our Finance division is seeking an accomplished Partnering MI Analyst on a permanent basis to join the successful and highly respected Financial Planning & Analysis team.
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department is integral to NFU Mutual’s financial management and strategic planning activities. The FP&A team is responsible for a wide range of activities that help the business achieve its financial goals and deliver sustainable profitable growth.
As the Partnering MI Analyst, you will work closely with the business by offering advice and influencing senior stakeholders across various divisions. This involves identifying and extracting management information (MI) and conducting data analysis to support informed decision-making and providing recommendations that align with business performance and strategic objectives.
You will also play a key role in supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner with maintaining and developing the financial planning system, Workday Adaptive. You will also use the system to produce strategic projections and develop reporting dashboards.
Further duties include:
* Maintain and develop the planning tool Workday Adaptive.
* Produce projections and develop reporting dashboards.
* Provide analysis and commentary on financial projections.
* Build strong relationships with business departments to ensure effective communication and delivery of relevant MI.
* Assist with financial planning and reforecasting processes to ensure accurate financial plans are produced and managed.
* Design and implement data-driven models to predict and forecast future performance.
* Provide insightful reporting and analysis to senior management, helping them understand the impact of decisions and identify corrective actions.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of MI reporting.
* Be a role model in the team, coaching and mentoring others to support development.
About you
You have strong experience in financial planning systems, with knowledge of Workday Adaptive being highly desirable. You thrive in a data-driven environment, using your analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to translate complex data into meaningful business insights. With excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, you can effectively collaborate with finance teams and business partners to influence decision-making. You have strong time management skills that allow you to prioritise workloads and ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
Additional skills required:
* Experience in data warehousing and MI analysis within a finance function
* Solid working knowledge of financial planning and modelling
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VBA
* Microsoft Power BI
