Reporting Analyst
The Reporting Analyst will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights, ensuring that our operations are driven by factual analysis and informed decision-making processes. This position requires a blend of analytical skills and critical thinking, along with proficiency in data visualisation tools and reporting software. The job holder will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting complex data sets related to our critical engineering operations, identifying trends, and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner. You will collaborate closely with various departments to empower them with the knowledge and tools needed to enhance efficiency, optimise resources, and improve service delivery.

The Reporting Analyst will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering reports and data insights that support business decision-making. Specially you will:
1. Design, develop, and maintain business reports, dashboards, and visualisations using tools such as Excel & Tableau and other reporting platforms.
2. Gather requirements from stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
3. Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
4. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by validating report outputs and troubleshooting discrepancies.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations and solutions.
6. Automate report generation processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
7. Maintain documentation of report requirements, methodologies, and processes.
8. Support ad-hoc reporting requests and provide timely analysis as needed.
What does it take?
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (desirable).
2. Certification in data analysis or reporting tools (desirable).
3. Proven experience as a Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
4. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
5. Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
6. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
7. Knowledge of CRM/CAFM systems.
8. Familiarity with cloud-based data storage solutions (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
11. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from the Sheffield office, hybrid working. Working hours 8.30-17:00pm, 40 hours per week.
