Job Title: Quality Manager Location: Portsmouth (HM Naval Base) Service Area: SHEQ Hours of Work: 37 Per week What You’ll be doing: As a Quality Manager in our SHEQ directorate, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across all of our business, projects and services. You’ll be accountable for developing, implementing, and maintaining our quality management system, coordinating assurance activities and undertaking audits, and leading continual improvement initiatives. You’ll be part of a team of two responsible for managing an Integrated Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 (plus five other ISO Standards). This includes ensuring adequacy of KBS Maritime’s governing procedures, business-buy in for quality, coordinated delivery of internal and external assurance activities, and investigation and resolution of non-conformities. To achieve this, you’ll be regularly engaging with stakeholders and employees across the business to ensure their understanding of the Management System and engagement with quality, to ensure continual improvement in products and services and identify risk reduction opportunities to embed in the management system. You’ll Have: Essentially, you’ll have gained in-depth experience of developing, implementing, and maintaining a Quality Management System compliant with ISO 9001 in a similar, previous role and have worked within a quality-based discipline in both an operational and management capacity. With proven exposure to and understanding of audits, identifying non-conformances producing reports and managing non-conformances through to resolution, you’ll also hold either CQI or IRCA membership, and ideally a Lead Auditor qualification. You’ll also be able to evidence positively influencing decisions and outcomes that arose from, or was supported, by a Quality Management System. You’ll likely have achieved this through collaboration with various stakeholders and employees.
