To help drive and shape our ability to provide elite business analysis services to our Clients, we are looking to recruit into the role of Business Analyst in our Water, Energy and Transport sectors. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall growth ambition within Stantec, fulfilling a key position within Stantec’s Digital Solutions team in the UK. Based at one of our regional UK offices, you will report to Wayne McIntosh within our Water Business, however the role will also be important to the success of our Management Consulting capability more widely across our UK & Ireland business, including our Energy and Transport sectors. Responsibilities S ubject matter expert on Business Analysis and Business Process Re-engineering for Stantec clients across the UK and Ireland. F ocal point for Business Process Re-engineering services and be seen to lead for Stantec in this area, both internally and externally. P rovide leadership to the Water sector digital community of practice and ensure our colleagues are provide with an environment to excel, innovate, and develop with Stantec. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse the structure of a business, how it uses technology and what its goals are. Analyse information needs and elicit functional requirements, delivering any artefacts as needed, including: Functional specification documents, user stories and interface designs. Identify productivity issues within a business, including through using data modelling techniques. Facilitate direct dialogue between the customer community and technical resources where appropriate or. Persuade internal and external stakeholders of the benefits of Digital technology or strategies. Evaluate, test and recommend new opportunities for enhancing our Digital solutions. About you To be considered for this role, you must have: Experience in the Water, Energy or Transport sectors with technology / digital industry exposure. Demonstrated experience of working with diverse teams and delivering outcomes to clients and customers. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to manage and prioritise own workload, providing regular status updates as. Proficient in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. It is also desirable but not essential to have: Degree in a relevant business, technology, scientific, engineering or other numerate discipline. Business Analysis Professional certification - BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or equivalent Process-based skills, including process flow diagrams, business and process modelling. Experience of facilitating workshops for requirements definition or business process analysis. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate technical concepts and technologies in business outcomes.
