Job responsibilities To receive specimens, enter patient and test details into the Pathology computer system, prepare specimens for the Chemical Pathology and Haematology Laboratories and for sending to other laboratories.To prepare reagents and assure storage conditions of reagent stocks.To recover samples for analysis and to be responsible for post processing storage of clinical samples.To perform maintenance and IQC were deemed appropriate on analytical platforms under the direction and supervision of HCPC registered BMS staff.To perform basic analytical techniques deemed suitable under the supervision of HCPC registered BMS staff.To work closely with registered biomedical scientist staff, to observe and implement standard operating procedures, to liaise with clinical and nursing staff.To participate in the annual joint review process (Values Bases Appraisal)To participate in flexible working practices (shift patterns) and work at either site as required, for the smooth running of the service.
