They are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced Production Manager to join their dynamic team. Job Purpose: The Production Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the production process within the manufacturing facility. This includes ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining production schedules, adhering to safety and quality standards, optimizing efficiency, and leading a team of production staff to meet company goals and objectives. Key Responsibilities: Production Oversight: Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure adherence to production schedules and meet customer demand. Monitor the performance of production lines and ensure the efficient use of resources (staff, equipment, and raw materials). Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues, including downtime or equipment malfunctions, to minimize disruptions. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, and motivate a team of production supervisors and operators, ensuring a high level of employee engagement, performance, and safety awareness. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide guidance to improve team productivity and skill levels. Ensure that all team members comply with safety, quality, and operational standards. Quality & Compliance: Ensure production meets or exceeds quality standards by conducting routine checks and audits. Monitor food safety compliance, ensuring adherence to HACCP, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and all relevant industry regulations. Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality concerns and maintain a high standard of products. Inventory & Resource Management: Oversee inventory management of raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies to ensure materials are available without overstocking. Work closely with the procurement and warehouse teams to ensure a continuous supply of materials to avoid production delays. Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to improve production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency through lean manufacturing or Six Sigma techniques. Analyze production data and identify trends, recommending and implementing improvements. Health & Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety training and audits. Identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly to prevent accidents. Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular reports on production performance, including key metrics such as throughput, downtime, and quality. Maintain accurate production records, including logs of raw materials, batches, and finished goods. Key Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing or production environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Proven track record of managing a production team in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting. Education & Qualifications: Certification in Food Safety (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) or Lean Manufacturing (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) is a plus. Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of food production processes, quality control, and food safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot production issues quickly and effectively. Proficient in using production management software and MS Office Suite. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
