Job Description:
As our Receptionist/Administrator, you will provide efficient customer service and clerical support for the New Milton Area Adult Learning and Skills programme.
Responsibilities:
1. Deal with telephone, personal, and postal enquiries effectively, including direct action or appropriate referrals, replying to requests for course information, both by post and over the counter.
2. Provide high-quality customer service to students, staff, and visitors, whether by telephone or in person.
3. Ensure reception and office areas are well stocked with information and kept tidy.
4. Provide clerical support, including special projects and liaising with staff, tutors, students, volunteers, and outside organizations.
5. Assist with notices, posters, and display setups.
6. Maintain students, staff, and financial records, including data collection and preparation for statistical purposes.
7. Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
8. Perform general office duties like filing, mail distribution, and processing enrolments and cashier duties.
9. Assist with equipment inventory and processing staff salary and travel claims.
10. Attend training events and staff meetings as required.
11. Undertake other duties as reasonably assigned.
Candidate Requirements:
* GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
* Minimum two years' experience in an office environment handling the public.
* Experience assisting diverse individuals.
* Competent in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use.
* Strong customer care and communication skills.
* Ability to handle challenging situations and work under pressure.
* Good organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
