Description If you’ve got the talent, we’ve got all the support you need to become our Head of Maths. Becoming Head of Maths in this amazing school will be a challenge, but will be so rewarding. So we’re ready to give you all the support you need to become a great leader and take our achievements to the next level. From your first day, you’ll have a very experienced mentor in one of our outstanding Associate Directors or Directors of Maths from the Outwood Family of Schools to guide you and encourage you to grow personally and professionally. But that’s just the beginning. Every member of the team benefits from two hours’ CPD each week, along with opportunities to access courses through the Outwood Institute of Education and the Maths Hub. What’s more, we have 28 secondary academies within our Family, meaning you can build your experience across multiple schools and have the opportunity to work with other Head of Maths. Being part of Outwood Academy City Fields is about bringing high-quality opportunities and experiences to our diverse school. We wish to employ someone who can provide meaningful engagement and help all children, staff and visitors thrive in the areas they work. City Fields is a multicultural school in the heart of the Wakefield community. Our school supports the local community and the wealth of opportunities our diverse background brings. Anyone wanting to take on this role should be prepared to challenge themselves to meet the needs of a diverse community. Ofsted noted that putting ‘students first’ is something that directs and guides actions each day. ‘Because leaders set such a strong example of their high ambitions for pupils, other staff mirror these aspirations’. ‘Outwood Academy City Fields is a school where leaders want the very best for pupils’ in whatever walk of life they engage in. We are looking for an individual who has high aspirations for students, who is committed, and passionate about learning; who has the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First’. So whether you’re a current Head or Deputy Head of Maths or an ambitious teacher looking for the next step up, it’s time we talked. Please contact Michelle Colledge-Smith, Principal, for an informal discussion, or to arrange a visit to the Academy.
